Meet & Greets

Clergy and lay persons from across the Diocese have submitted over 100 questions for the four nominees for Bishop. The period for sending in questions is now closed. Members of the Meet & Greet Committee are sifting through all of the submissions, consolidating your responses into four or five questions for each of the Meet & Greets. If you have submitted a question and do not hear it asked at an event, please understand the committee members’ difficult choices as they have worked to pair together and pare down the questions.

  • Are you planning to attend a Meet & Greet with the nominees for Bishop during the week of April 29? RSVP to let your host know. Carpooling is encouraged. If you need childcare during the event, please indicate by Monday, April 22, 2024, on the form.
  • Are you planning to watch the Meet & Greets online? Consider organizing a Watch Party to view the events together. Links to live-streams will be available before April 29 on the transition website. Recordings will also be available.

Electors

  • Are you wondering who is responsible for voting at the Electing Convention on Saturday, May 18, at 9:30 am at St. Mark’s Cathedral? Please note the following deadlines and see additional details on the transition website at this link.

Lay: Delegates and alternates elected to the October 2023 annual convention are the delegates and alternates to the special electing convention, without new delegates needing to be elected. If an alternate was certified for the October 2023 convention, that person shall be the elector for the May 18 electing convention, with the original elector shifting to the alternate position unless the congregation certifies the original delegate to replace the certified alternate. No names may be removed or added to a delegation within one month of the electing convention (April 18, 2024). The deadline to make switches within the delegation is May 8, 2024.

Clergy: Clergy have seat and vote by residency in the diocese at the time of the electing convention. The deadline to complete a change in canonical residency is May 8, 2024.
